Review: Tweetdeck

It has been along time since I have done a review on this blog and thought it was time now that I have been using Tweetdeck for about a month now and wanted to share my thoughts on the app.

Since I started using Twitter I have been stuck in between which desktop app or service I like the best to make tweets and to view them. At first I was just using Twitter online hitting refresh every 30 seconds and we all know how that goes… After giving up on that I discovered a desktop app called Twhirl which was good at first because of the automatic reloads but found that I was missing a lot of tweets from everyone. So i finally gave in and downloaded Tweetdeck which a lot of my friends had started using and highly recomended it to me.
I think the biggest thing that I like about Tweetdeck is the overall usability of it. The groups idea was ingenius. Even though I like seeing everyones tweets it is nice to single in on just my friends from the Grand Rapids area in a group. Also the integration on the url shortener right in the app is also a big time saver when trying to upload a link.
Overall I would suggest anybody who uses twitter on a daily basis to check it out because it will make tweeting that much more fun and useful.
