Edward Burtynskys “Manufactured Landscapes”

Edward Burtynsky is a Canadian photographer who has become very popular within the last year for his series dealing with Urban Landscapes. Burtynsky visits places where nature is being transformed by industry. He uses these large scale photographs to show how these landscapes are being transformed.

I recently got turned onto his work after a showing at our local art museum. The scale of his pictures shows a lot of detail which is what makes his work interesting to view. You can spend a lot of time just looking at all of the little details that make up his images.
